Thermostat

We have one thermostat on the kitchen wall (interior side) for forced-air heat. In winter it's usually on "heat." From the home screen, move the slider to the temperature you want. The touchscreen can feel fiddly — if it's fighting you, ask Mom or Dad; we can also tweak it from our phones.

Sensors

There are three motion+temperature sensors strategically placed in the home. One in living room near cold air return, upstairs master bedroom on top of tall mirror and another in basement "bar" area.

With these sensors, thermostat is aware of which rooms are occupied and controls air flow accordingly.

If a motion sensor bugs you, it's fine to turn it toward the wall for privacy — just let us know so we can point it back where it belongs.
